a) The Memory Tree
i) Review from recent sessions
More music and singing was added into the last session and people seemed to like this. It was agreed to have more music, singing and reminiscences as well as the quiz. The quiz should trigger memories rather than test memory. It was decided that as Yorkshire Day is on 1 August and it coincided with the Memory Tree, the theme should be “Yorkshire”. Suggestions for future sessions include food tasting, dance therapy (Paula’s contact) and free cream and jam from the Cream Tea Society.
ii) Invitations to attend the Carers’ sessions
Sarah Wademan from Carers’ Resource is coming on 20 June. Niccola will invite Amanda Beck the new Community Matron. Susan will remind Judith to ask her friend about Therapeutic Writing so that any interest from the Carers can be gauged.
